  • kg veal meat
  • onion
  • 4-5 garlic cloves
  • handful cherry tomatoes
  • carrot
  • glass tomato juice
  • 150 ml red wine
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • dry onion
  • thyme
  • basil
  • garlic powder
  • sweet paprika
  • laurel leaves

Directions for Veal nape with wine and tomatoes

Step 1: Remove the unnecessary skin from the meat. Place it in a iena pot, sprinkle olive oil and spices. Put enough water as to cover the meat. Cover the pot and place it in the oven for 30 minutes, at high temperature.

Step 2: Clean and wash the vegetables. Finely grate the carrot, finely slice the onion and smash the garlic. Add them over the meat and place the pot back in the oven, this time at medium heat for other 30 minutes. After one hour, the meat should be tender. If it’s not, cook it a little longer.

Step 3: Add the wine and tomato juice and keep it for 15 minutes in the oven, then add the washed tomatoes and cook for 5 more minutes. Serve with boiled rice with butter or mashed potatoes. Sprinkle green parsley over it. Enjoy!
