A simple and delicious traditional recipe that can be served simple or with a light salad.


  •  700 grams minced chicken meat
  • 1 kg potatoes
  • parsley
  • big onion
  • 50 grams butter
  • 50 grams hard cheese
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 3 eggs
  • tablespoon sour cream
  • 100 ml tomato juice
  • salt
  • pepper


Directions for Sheppard's pie with chicken meat

Wash potatoes and put them to boil. When they are ready, peel and slice them. Fry onion for 3-4 minutes in a pan with a bit of oil. Add minced meat over onion and keep it on fire till meat turn slightly white. Remove from fire, let it cool off a bit and add 2 eggs, chopped parsley, salt, pepper and 50 ml tomato juice. Coat a baking pan with butter and layer potato slices on its bottom, then meat, then potatoes again. Mix the remaining egg with a bit of salt, sour cream and some tomato juice and add over potatoes. Grate hard cheese on top and place the pan in the heated oven and keep it there until potatoes get a beautiful golden color. Enjoy!
