A simple, but very tasty recipe of salmon with traditional Romanian "mamaliga".


  • two slices of salmon
  • one egg
  • milk
  • white flour
  • garlic
  • two tsp olive oil
  • salt
  • corn flour
  • butter

Directions for Salmon in soft crust with garlic and polenta

Step 1: Mix the egg with flour and a little milk and a bit of salt until it becomes a homogenous cream . Then cover the pieces of salmon in a layer of this cream, both sides, the fry them.

Step 2: In a pot, put two cups of water to boil with a bit of salt. When it starts simmering, add the corn flour and mix it well until it gets the consistency of a thick sour cream. Cover the pot and let it simmer, mixing it from time to time. In the end , add a spoon of butter, mix again, then place the resulting polenta into a bowl.

Step 3: Crush the cloves of garlic, add salt and two teaspoons of olive oil, mix well and then add a little bit of cold water. Serve with the salmon and polenta. Enjoy!
