In the spring time, a vegetarian dish that is full of vitamins will give you the energy to boost back from the cold, winter days. You can eat it with salad or use it as garnish for a meat dish. Either way, it is consistent and quite easy to make!

Ingredients

  • 3 bunches of patience
  • one cup of rice
  • one onion
  • chives
  • a cup of tomato juice
  • green parsley
  • salt and pepper
  • a little bit of oil

Directions for Patience with rice

Step 1: Clean the patience, eash it and then blanch it in hot water. After it cools down, chop it finely. Wash the rice in more rounds of water. Cut the onion and the chives then put all the ingredients to boil in a pot with 5 cups of water, spices and a tbs of oil.

Step 2: Afterwards, place the pot in the oven for about 30 minutes, until the rice increases its volume. Then add the tomato juice and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Then, take it out and sprinkle freshh parsley on top. It goes will with a spring salad. Enjoy!
