A warm soup is all you need on a rainy day or when you catch a cold. Try this traditional one and use fresh ingredients. It will impress you!


  • 4 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 parsley root
  • 1 onion
  • 1 piece of celery
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 \ 2 small red beets
  • 2 medium potatoes
  • herbs: dill, parsley, lovage
  • salt
  • thyme
  • 500 ml sour soup

Directions for Moldavian chicken soup

Step 1: clean chicken legs, wash and boil them in cold water over low heat. Remove foam whenever necessary, then add salt. If necessary strain, to be clear.

Step 2: When the meat is half cooked, put vegetables after you clean and finely chopp them. First add the potato cut into cubes, chopped onion and diced pepper, then carrots, celery, parsley and grated beet. Let them boil well, at low temperature.

Step 3: When almost done, put boiled borsch in advance and the peeled tomatoes that were first diced. Add salt and pepper.

Sprinkle finely chopped thyme and greens. They give a boil.

Serve with sour cream and pepper. Enjoy!
