In the morning, there is nothing better than a creamy, delicious home-made breakfast that goes well with a crunchy toast. This chicken pate is both light and filling and it will give you the perfect start for the day!

Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken livers
  • onion
  • 4-5 garlic cloves
  • 50 grams butter
  • yolk of boiled egg
  • thyme
  • rosemary
  • laurel leaf
  • dry basil
  • salt and pepper

Directions for Homemade chicken pate for children (more than 10 months old)

Step 1: Place the meat in a pot with water and after it simmers once, throw the water away, wash the livers and then cut it in two.
Finely chop the onion and garlic into slices. In a deep pan melt the butter, add the onion, garlic, spices and cook it until tender.

Step 2: Then add the livers, half a glass of water, thyme, laurel and rosemary, cover it and let it simmer for 15 minutes and then take the pan away. Afterwards, let the meat cool down, remove the laurel and thyme, add a boiled yolk and using a blender, mix until it turns into a smooth cream.

Spread it on slices of bread and enjoy!
