Recipes - Goat cheese and salmon sandwich

With only a few special ingredients you can have a very tasty meal, in this case some creamy sandwiches.

  • 5 slices of white toast bread
  • 150 grams goat cheese
  • 100 grams smoked salmon
  • 20 grams of butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For onion sauce:

  • 4 green onions (very young ones)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • teaspoon mustard
  • teaspoon white wine
  • salt
  • pepper

Directions for Goat cheese and salmon sandwich

You can make two types of sandwiches:

1) with two layers of cream (a layer of cheese cream and salmon and a layer of onion sauce);
2) one (for those less brave) with only one layer of cream cheese and salmon with a bit of green onion in it.
Break or cut salmon into pieces and mix it with cheese, butter and olive oil. You’ll get a pink looking cream. Prepare toast slices by cutting their edges to make them look nicer. Put a big tablespoon of cream on a slice of bread, even it out, then add another slice on top. Mix ingredients for onion sauce. You’ll get a green sauce, which makes perfect contrast with the pink cream. Put onion sauce over the second slice of bread and cover with another slice of bread.
Cut the sandwich on the diagonal. If you think that the onion taste is too pungent, you can opt for the second type of sandwich, that has only a bit of fresh onion finely chopped. Enjoy!
