Cottage pie is a simple recipe that can be served as a starters when you have a dinner with friends. It has potatoes, cheese and eggs and a creamy white sauce.


  • 2-3 kg potatoes
  • 10 boiled eggs
  • 500 grams salty cheese
  • ½ pack butter
  • 250 grams sour cream
  • 2 crude eggs
  • 1-2 tomatoes
  • salt and pepper

Directions for Cottage pie in Roman pot

Step 1: Boil the potatoes without removing the skin, then peel them and slice them. Also slice the boiled eggs. Grease the roman pot with butter, add one layer of potatoes, one of sliced boiled eggs, cheese, salt, pepper, small cubes of butter, then start all over again with the potatoes and add the next layers of ingredients. It should be made out of 3 layers of potatoes and 2 of eggs.

Step 2:  In the end, add 2 eggs mixed with sour cream. Decorate with a few slices of tomatoes and ground a little pepper over it. Place it in the oven for an hour, at around 160 degrees. Take it out, let it cool a little, then serve. Enjoy!
