A very simple, traditional dish that has a lot of flavor and goes well with mashed potatoes or the Romanian "mamaliga".


  • 600 grams chicken livers
  • big onion
  • garlic cloves
  • small cup white wine
  • salt
  • pepper
  • laurel leaves
  • freshly chopped dill

Directions for Chicken livers with garlic

Step 1: Wash the chicken livers. Chpp the onion, the garlic and the dill. Put 3 spoons of palm oil in a a pan or a spoon of butter. Add the onion and let it soften for 2 or 3 minutes. Then add the livers, salt, pepper, a small cup of water and let them simmer, mixing in the pot with a spoon fromt time to time.

Step 2: After they get softer, add a small cut of white wine and the laurel leaves. Mix them in the pan at every 3 minutes, to make sure they cook evenly, until all the liquid evaporates. Then turn off the fire, add the crushed garlic and the fresh dill. Cover it and keep it like this for a few minutes. Serve warm. Enjoy!
