Filling and very tasty, this tart is perfect for a family dinner!


For the dough:

  • 150 ml water
  • 250 g dark flour
  • 1 teaspoon dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon oil

  For the filling:

  • 1 / 2 chicken
  • 100 g bacon
  • 1 can tomatoes in juice
  • half skull garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • oregano

In addition

  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g cheese
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • salt and pepper

Dried dill

  • For decoration:
  • 1 tomato
  • 50 g cheese

Directions for Chicken and tomato tart

Step 1: Make the dough by disolving yeast in warm water with sugar and let it swell for 10 minutes. In the bowl of bread machine (or a bowl if kneading by hand) put flour, salt and oil. Add yeast and remaining water and knead a soft but firm dough and let it rest for half an hour.

Step 2: Make the filling from diced chicken fried in a pan with the bacon cut into slices. When the bacon fat is melted and the meat is slightly browned, add tomatoes with juice and crushed garlic. Homogenize and spice to taste with salt, pepper and oregano. Boil until the juice is reduced and the meat is well cooked.

In a mixing bowl or deep dish mix cheese with the cream and 2 eggs. Spice to taste with salt, pepper and dill.

Step 3: Stretch dough and put it in the tart shaped tray. Fill it with red meat mixture, then pour over the mixture the cheese and sour cream. Sprinkle with grated cheese and decorate with slices of tomatoes. Place it in the oven at medium heat for about 40-45 minutes.

Serve warm, but it is as good cold. Enjoy!
