Recipes - Browny

There are many browny recipes, but what I like about this one is that is very moist and it simply melts in your mouth. It's also very good, if not even better served the next day.

  • 200 grams flour
  • 150 grams sugar
  • teaspoon baking powder
  • 100 ml espresso
  • 55 grams butter
  • 50 ml oil
  • 25 grams cocoa
  • one egg
  • 50 ml butter milk
  • vanilla essence

  • 10 grams chocolate with nuts
  • 125 creme fraiche

Directions for Browny

Step 1:  Mix flour, sugar and baking powder.

Step 2: In a small pot add freshly made coffee/espresso, butter, oil and cocoa. Put it to simmer on small fire, mixing all the time. When it starts simmering, add this syrop to the flour and mix fast until you get a homogeneous cream.

Step 3: Mix eggs with a fork. and add it to the cocoa cream. When the egg is incorporated, add butter milk as well.

Step 4: Pour this mixture in a round baking pan, over baking paper.

Step 5: Bake for 25 minutes at 180 degrees, in the preheated oven. Remove from oven and let it cool down.

Step 6: Put chocolate and creme fraiche in a small pot and let it simmer over small flame or at a small temperature. Let it cool off a little and then spread it over the cake. Serve cold, simple or with ice-cream. Enjoy!
